Jason Baisden - Executive Director

Jason joined NCAFC in 2004, and before becoming the Executive Director, provided support in Marketing, Public Relations and Technology. As Executive Director, Jason is in charge of the day-to-day operations as well as implementing NCAFC's strategic goals and its mission. 

Jason is a registered lobbyist for the Association and leads NCAFC's legislative and advocacy initiatives.  Jason is involved in several statewide organizations / coalitions dealing with the issue of the uninsured.  These include, but are not limited to:

  §     CareShare Health Alliance – Board Member

  §     NCHICA’s Health Information Exchange Council

  §     Safety Net Advisory Committee (SNAC)

  §     NC High Risk Pool – Communications Committee

When not at his desk or in the office, Jason enjoys back country camping and hiking, snow skiing, ACC basketball, playing guitar and tailgaiting for App. State  football games.

Jason graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in communication.  Jason's previous experience includes work in sales, higher education and employment training.

 

Cindy Jones - Director of Training & Support

Cindy has been with NCAFC since August 2005 and is responsible for assisting member clinics with operational issues such as implementing the Federal Torts Claims Act medical malpractice protection program, our accreditation program, and best practices policies and procedures.

Cindy has clinical experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and is currently licensed with the NC Respiratory Care Board and the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Medicine.

Cindy is married to Lin, a police officer.

 

 

 

Pamela Stephens - Director of Communications & Community Relations

Pamela's responsibilities include developing and implementing communication efforts with 77+ member clinics, handling media relations and fostering relationships between NCAFC and the community.

Pamela is a graduate of Bennett College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications; Pamela is also a graduate of High Point University where she earned her Master's in Public Administration. Pamela's previous experience stems from work in health care, public relations and marketing and non-profit organizations.

Pamela welcomes any new adventure and enjoys cooking, learning and spending time with family and friends.  

 

 

 

Katie Yarbrough - Administrative Assistant


Katie is the newest member of the NCAFC team and she brings 15-years of experience in administrative operations, as well as over eight years of experience working in non-profit organizations and healthcare.

When Katie wants to relax she loves gardening, writing music lyrics and reading. Katie is a proud mother of a teenaged daughter.
